Project Consultant - Access for All: Researching and Redesigning the Croydon Archives Digital Experience

Croydon Archives is seeking an experienced consultant in digital engagement, user experience research and inclusive design to lead a six-month research-led project funded by The National Archives’ Research & Innovation Grant.

This project, Access for All: Researching and Redesigning the Croydon Archives Digital Experience, aims to transform how Croydon’s diverse communities discover and engage with our archival resources and collections online. We are looking for a consultant who can work collaboratively with under-represented residents to make our website, catalogue, social media and digital kiosks more intuitive, inclusive and user-friendly.

Contract: six months (approx. 23 days of work)
Fee: Up to £9000 (inclusive of all expenses)
Deadline:Midday, Monday 8 April 2026
Location: Hybrid (Croydon + remote)
