Volunteer opportunities

Family in the Riesco Gallery at Croydon ClocktowerThank you for your interest in volunteering with the Museum of Croydon. We welcome the added value which volunteers can bring to our engagement with local people and their heritage.

Whether you're looking for some work experience in the museum sector, have specific skills and interests which you want to practise, or want to offer your time to benefit the local community, there's something for you.

In return we offer you: the chance to join a friendly team who are committed to making the history of Croydon accessible and enjoyable for all our visitors; training and support to develop new skills and interests; and assistance with accrediting your time spent volunteering.

We are committed to making our service, and the volunteer opportunities offered, as accessible and diverse as possible. All you need is commitment, enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, good communication skills and a friendly attitude. Croydon Clocktower has great transport links and good access for people with disabilities.

To find out more about how we work with our volunteers, please see our Volunteer scheme (Revised January 2017) (PDF document, 483KB, opens in new window / tab).
