Well I always remember Jools Holland,
he was really full of energy that show
was always just like when you see him
on the television,
bursting with enthusiasm and energy
and the audience repsonded
and it was always a full house.
And of course there was JLS,
where social media had brought
a crowd of several thousand
for when they were doing a gig there.
And I think the most memorable one
was really shortly before
Fairfield closed actually,
and that was Ben Haenow,
who was an X-Factor star,
very, very popular
because he went to Edenham School,
lived locally, and the place
was absolutely packed with young people.
It was reminiscent of a '60s show
with all the squealing from the girls,
and one of those shows where
they were standing up
all the way through his act,
because it was all hand waving
and clapping and squealing
and right to the end,
right at the end of the show,
I just turned my back to check something
and I turned round again
and there was about thirty girls
on the satge, well he was carrying on
singing and all you could see
was his hand waving his flag
in amongst all these girls on the stage.
It must have been a nightmare
for the stage crew
but it was all very, very, shall I say
a taxing but enjoyable experience.
I think that was one
of the best nights I've had
as steward in the Fairfield.
