Commemorating the Battle of Britain
The lace was designed by Harry Cross.
Less than forty were made
by Dobsons and Browne of Nottingham.
Other panels were given to
King George Vl, Winston Churchill,
the Royal Air Force Association,
other towns which played a key role
in the battle,
as well as countries such as
Canada, New Zealand,
Australia and South Africa.
Pilots from these countries
served in the RAF
and helped defend Britain from invasion.
