Title

Decimal Currency Mug
Description

The decimal coin pack and mug were both given to David Hatherill of Shirley in 1971. The mug originally held an Easter egg. Its sides show the value of the old shillings and pence in the new decimal coinage. In the transitional period from old to new money, shops often labelled goods with both the old price and the new decimal price.
