Title
Arthur and Enid's Wedding Presents
1948
Description
The damask tablecloth, butter dish, utility jug, pyrex dish and salad servers were given to Arthur and Enid Sturgeon when they married in Hackbridge in 1948. Enid wore a borrowed wedding dress because she couldn't afford the clothing coupons. Arthur made the bookshelves on which the presents stand from used bakers trays, to furnish their first home.
