Lips by Tattoo give that South Seas Glamour
The original artwork by Norman Partridge for an advertisement for Tattoo lipstick. He designed it in 1948. Norman Partridge was born in Thornton Heath in 1921. On leaving Selhurst Grammar School in 1936, he studied at Croydon Art College. He joined the army at the outbreak of the Second World War but was discharged because of illness two years later. His war work continued with employment as a graphic designer for National Savings. After the war, Norman worked for Rex Publicity until his retirement in 1972.
