Win worked at Marks and Spencer.
She talks about working in the shop:
"Everything was a penny.
It didn't matter what it was, it was a penny.
A nail brush, a lump of soap,
everything was a penny so it wasn't difficult.
And we worked 74 hours a week, 9 til 9,
and we got 5 shillings a week
for our trouble.
And if there was a customer
after the said 9 o'clock,
we had to stay behind and serve them,
so invariably it was 10 o'clock
before we got out.
So that was my first job.
But I loved it there,
I really loved it."
