A Patient's Shoe
This shoe was worn by some patients at Cane Hill Mental Hospital until the early 1920's. Such shoes were worn by those patients who regularly were in the habit of removing their clothing. Nursing staff had to ensure that clothing and shoes were worn that could not be readily removed.
