The wooden grave marker of John Lock who died in 1856, aged 24, of chronic hepatitis. He was buried in the churchyard of St James's Church, Addiscombe. The inscription reads ""Dearest wife and mother dear, when passing stop and drop a tear, think of one a sleeping here, and pray be kind to my children dear"".
