Ann Summers' Posing Pouch
A "Snapper" posing pouch sold by the Whyteleafe firm, Ann Summers Ltd, in the early 1990s. The company sells sex aids and lingerie and was founded in 1970. Initially it aimed its products at the male market and sold them through High Street shops. Since women are usually reluctant to go into sex shops, Ann Summers began selling through house parties in 1981. At these parties women sell exclusively to women. This snapper posing pouch is a fun item, in the shape of a crocodile. It is bought by women for their husbands or boyfriends and is particularly popular around Christmas.
