Hells Angels' Colours
Colours worn by Dennis Corcoran of West Croydon when he rode with Nightingales in the late 1960s. The colours, a skull with wings, were embroidered onto the back of a sleeveless denim jacket by Terry Gage. Grolly was Dennis's nickname. Dennis wore this over his leather motorcycle jacket. Hells Angels' gangs identified each other by the colours they wore. Dennis's gang was named after the Nightingale Cafe on Biggin Hill where they often met.
Sleeveless denim waistcoat with embroidered applique "Hell's Angels" motifs on back. Black and white cotton fabric applique with embroidery in cotton threads.
