A Secret Saucepan
This saucepan was made illicitly from aircraft metal in the Trojan factory, Purley Way, around 1942. A stock of them was discovered in the early 1950's when saucepans were almost impossible to buy. Since supplies of the aircraft metal were under strict control, the saucepans could not be sold openly. Trojan workers gave them to family and friends. Trojan workers also made cigarette lighters on the night shift when they should have been making armaments.
