Footballer and Season Ticket
Crystal Palace were promoted to the First Division of the football league for the first time in 1969. Ian King recalls: "At that time Palace were redeveloping part of their ground and they'd advertised that if supporters would loan the club some money they would get in return a free season ticket for anything between five and ten years. As a sort of school leaving present my parents loaned the club the required 100 and I was given a free new stand enclosure season ticket for ten years." The season ticket for the new Arthur Wait Stand was for the 1969/1970 season. The figurine dates from 1967 or 1968.
