Dan's Pitching Tool
A Pitching Tool used by Dan Dempsey when he was building new roads in the centre of Croydon in the 1960s. Dan Dempsey worked on the construction of both the Croydon underpass in 1964 and the flyover in 1969. The pitching tool was used for cutting kerbs or paving stones. At that time the majority of work was done by hand.
